Low on SSD space HELP

i made the stupid decision of only buying a 60GB OCZ Agility 3 for my boot drive for my new build and 1TB Seagate Barracuda for my data drive . As i plan on installing Adobe Master collection, Microsoft Office and other large pieces of software i would probably be left with 20GB or less of storage would that decrease performance ? So i am considering selling my 60GB and buying a larger SSD what would you say should be the minimum size ?

some cheap samsung 830 256gb on amazon £130 id choose that,you could go for 128gb but for abit extra you can have double the space

or you could keep the 60gb and use caching,to accelerate the 1tb hdd,ssd speeds with hdd storage space,if you have 8gb of ram then chances are your using 8gb of pagefile,you could either move it to the hdd freeing 8gb on the ssd or reduce it to 2gb and free up 6gb

disabling sleep mode also frees up ssd space,if you google theres guides on how to do this

hi I just saw on overlcokers the Adata XPG SX900 256GB which seems to have good reviews as i was also looking to maintain performance, if not increase it .

with the caching idea do you mean to make the 1TB as my boot drive and just use SSD as a cache? will this keep up performance?

thanks i would most probably do that once i get my new drive as i might as well plan for the long term as i know im going to be downloading a lot of programs

how much is the adata? the samsung 256gb is £130 on amazon,and yes the caching idea is just as fast,maybe 2-5 seconds slower at bootup but everything else its just as quick as the os on the ssd,if you didnt wanna spend any money id use the caching method,if not id go for a 256gb ssd

£165 on overclockers but found it £140 elsewhere

will take everything you said into consideration and then find out how much i have to spend

i have decided to use the SSD as a cache for the moment
i am following these instructions ftp://europe.asrock.com/manual/raid/...se/English.pdf
i have set the drives to RAID and made sure that it is using the Intel ports, unfortunately once i try to select the partitioned (250GB) 1TB hard drive i get an error message stating that "Windows cannot be installed on this disk. The computers hardware may not support booting the disk. Ensure that the disk controller is enabled in the computers BIOS menu"
any idea why this is happening ?
