RAM is normally a simple upgrade, but when you get into the Video and stuff, thats a little different.
Greets,
A friend of mine is looking to upgrade, but the problem is he has a Dell Inspiron 8100. As I've told him, laptops are not the easiest thing to upgrade (if at all possible). But I said I'd see if any of you gurus actually knew if it was possible. Mostly he's looking to upgrade his video card and RAM, if it's feasible.
Is that possible on a laptop?
AMD 2500+ Barton @ 2.0 gHz
EpoX 8RDA3+
512MB Corsair XMS PC3200
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro w/Cat 4.7's
SB Audigy
WD 7200RPM 80GB HD w/8 MB cache
MSI Dragonwriter CD-RW
Pacific Digital DVD-ROM

much like the cpu, in most cases the video card is soldered into place with no hope of simple or cost effective removal.
