The first thing that ya should do with any fresh os install is install ya mobo drivers b4 ya video drivers.![]()
I just formatted my computer and installed a fresh copy of windows, the first thing I did was install my video card drivers. I poped in my disc that came with the card, and then updated the drivers from an exe I burned to a disc.
Now, I'm working with a PowerColor 9700 Pro 128mb, and the ATi control panel is telling me in the SMARTGART(tm) tab that my AGP speed is set too off as well as my fast write! I put the slide to 8x and knocked Fast Write back on, because before format thats how the computer ran. It asked for a reboot and I did so - went back to the control panel and bam, same old same old.
Now, I had done the Reformat to Relax tweak guide on my old computer and I haven't done that yet here, but I don't think thats really going to effect this.
Does anyone have any idea of whats going on?
