side by side comparison,why did i choose msi? simply because they offered a 3 year warranty compared to sapphires 2 ,more pics and benchmarks to follow !!!!

the msi only uses one single 6pin pci-e power lead unlike two needed for the 5870

How does the fan noise compare between both cards?
Are you going to use MSI AfterBurner to tweak gpu & memory speeds and voltages?

You do realize that the model names of both cards have the exact same digits, but in a different order

the fan on the msi is quieter upto 45% then it becomes audible but not by much,plus it was £10 cheaper than the sapphire equivalent card,ill probably use afterburner,ive seen the 7850's reach 1200 and 1300mhz core and 5500mhz memory but for that you need to add a little voltage

i can tell the difference in gta iv and few other games,and having an extra 1gb of memory helps,just need to sell my old card and it will be a cheapish upgrade

and theres no way i could max the sliders in ccc,maybe 10/20mhz more on each on the 5870 then it would artifact or freeze

With my MSI N460GTX Hawk cards, it was easy to o/c gpu and memory with appropriate voltage increases for each setting.
Increasing the PLL setting didn't help at all with my cards, and all of the Hawk reviews that I read said the same thing about the PLL setting.
It might be different with your card.
