Looking at card(s) for a new build

No I really haven't decided yet but leaning towards a 6950 or 6970 used or if I can find a good deal on a new one. I would love to have 2 new 7950's ot 70's but like you say a lot of money for a frickin video card/s. I would buy them in a heart beat but the better half thinks diffrent than I on computer parts. lol

its hard to resist the upgrade itch but prices are high on those cards,and a 7850 wouldnt be enough of an upgrade imo,i would hold on if you can and see what nvidia brings with their gtx660 cards

OK, give me a cheap alternative for the meantime. i was hoping to get it all together at once so i could get it all w/c. Guess I could pull my 6850's out of current rig for a while and air cool.

i cant think of any alternatives off hand,your 6850 xfire is pretty strong atm,anything more would cost more money,ati have the mid range market sewn up with the 7850's

I went ahead and got a Power Color 7950 and an EK w/c block. You might know a week later XFX goes on sale for $100 less. Don't know if the XFX is reference pcb, though.

youll have to post some benchmarks when you get it,xfx arnt that good imo,powercolor are ok though i had a great little 5770 powercolor card,bet you dont get 3yr warranty though like on msi
