Anyone upgrading their video cards and able to help me please?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone was upgrading their current video card and would be bale to send me their old one. I had installed a ATI Radeon HD4550 into my computer a while back and somehow it is failing me on and off. I can't afford a new video card right now as I just bought an external hard drive to backup my studies etc. I was wondering if anyone upgrading their current video cards would be kind enough to send me their old ones or does anyone know where I can get a quality video card dog cheap? I use my home computer for studies and learning anything I can, my family also uses it for their daily tasks. I rarely play games but last night for a little relaxtion from my studies I tried to play my splinter cell conviction game but the video card gave me terrible video graphics which has never happened before. I also tried playing some free online games and it is doing the same. I can see lines in the graphics and it looks terrible,. I have tried unseating and reseating the video card but it has only made the graphics look worse. If anyone cane make a suggestion or help, please do. I know my computer gets hot at times and my video card doesn't have it's own fan only a heatsink but I don't over use it so I can't understand how it's failing like it is.

Try placing a fan over the gpu heatsink and downclocking the gpu's memory by 100mhz and see if the lines still show,
