whats your favorite ram brand from my list.
Geil
Corsair
OCZ
Kingston
Crucial

for ddr 400 ...i dont plan on buying pc3500 becuase my asus p4p 800 delux...im not sure if it supports it ...but it supports ddr 400..i plan on overclocking a little bit or even not at all...so which is the best ram for me?

and what type of the brand that you chose do u like best?

I'm still waiting for it to turn up, but I've ordered some of the TWIN Corsair 400Mhz DDR... so I'll vote for that.

Corsair here as well (XMS3500 though) for darkside adventurin' and Kingmax for stock jobs.

for ram on a tight budget: kingmax
otherwise, i'd say: corsair

and i'm going to be trying some of that GeIL stuff soon :D

I have some Corsair XMS & some Kingston Tech Hyper X - both work fine in my nForce board - but my Asus P4P800 board seems to prefer the Kingston Tech...so that's what my vote is:thumb:
with the Corsair installed @spd w/2.7v 3d apps./games locked or crashed to the desktop - I had to relax the timings for stability - the Kingston Tech worked perfectly right away & also allowed me to use more agressive timings.

Maybe I have a bad batch of XMS - this is my first experience with it so i don't know - but it works fine in my nforce box so I'll keep it in there anyway

....I've used Corsair Value Select in a few i875 boxes lately & it seems like good stuff - of course those boxes won't be subjected to any OC'ing :flames:

I've used Kingston Value Ram on several systems and never had a moments problem with it.

Kingston ValueRAM is great, unless you want to overclock...that's where the 'vaule' comes into play ;)

I'm using that in my current system and i can't get the FSB past 145 with it :(

on the basis of the recent Tweaktown Memory Roundup, id rather buy 2x 256mb pc-3200 Kingmax for approximately $160, then 2x 256mb XMS pc-3200 Corsairs for around $270. Crucial looks mighty good as well, cheap too.

Me personally, im not a very big tweaker when it comes to ram. ;)

Newegg sells Corsair XMS PC3200 256MB sticks for $63 a pop...
