did you flash the bios? you need to extract the bios files to the usb stick and use qflash in the bios to flash it
The whole process take maybe 2min. To be honest it is every simple process. The problem the process Windows format uses is not geared to SSD's its geared toward HDD's, how they write data is different. Profjim could probably go into better details about this. I dont know if over time "TRIM" would help clean up a windows format or not, but the only way to restore a SSD to its "Like New" state for read/write speed is to do a secure erase.

Ok everything seems to be running pretty smooth now. I updated a heap of drivers using the Gigabyte utillities disc that came with the MoBo.....*Duh!* This has updated the SATA drivers i think and it is all good now. No freezing and running as fast as i hoped it would. Cheers for talking me into the SSD Wazz (not that it took much convincing). Onto testing it now. I've run Prime 95 and it doesn't bat an eyelid for hours and im going to use memtest for the ram. What other tests should be run on it to give the all clear? Unfortunatly it is going up for sale now
, after waiting a couple of months for all the bits to come out and be delivered! :-( Needs must, and i need a plane ticked to AUSTRALIA!!!!! WOOHOO!!!! But will be sad to see my hard work going out the door. :-( Any interest on here?
