    Before i format my hard drive i thiught i would see if any one could help me out,When i reboot my computer it says it can't because windows root>system32/hal.dll. file is missing or corrupted, and i don't have a boot up disk for it i can't even get it into safe mode or anything, SO what should i do:mad:

    try booting with CD in and do a repair. Might work

    that will cetainly work.
    do take care while installing softwares next time as this error usually occurs when a buggy software accesses hal.dll and corrupts it.

    Thanks for the replies but i did try bootimg from the cd didn't work so i formated my harddrive it was time anyways just about a year, nice clean start. Thanks again for the quick response.
