shut down

Could anyone help? My computer keeps restarting for no particular reason. Seems to be mostly when I shut down programs but can do it anytime. :(

Be grateful for any suggestions.

try this:

go into system properties
click on the ADVANCED tab
get into settings for startup and recovery
UNTICK the option for automatic restart under system failure

after you have done this, i recommend you download some XP updates.

if thats whats causing yer system to restart then yer even log should have the errors in it, might help track down whats causing it
