Check out the NoScript add-on.
I don't know if it always eliminates sponsored links, but when I just searched using tweaktown or tweak town (with a space) I got a similar screen to yours, but without anything like you have in the red box. It might be related different countries, rather than NoScript.
NoScript is sometimes a PITA with some websites, but you can temporarily enable/disable links that are disabled by default.
For several months, I haven't been able to access the PC Specs (javascript) at TweakTown when NoScript is enabled, and I have similar issues with some of tabs at gigabyte.com. These issues were with FireFox 3.6.28 and 18.0. IE9 and Google Chrome can't use NoScript (to my knowledge) and both of them have no javascript issues.
