    Default lap top problem

    Ive got a dell latitude thats asking for a password to get to bios and everywhere else. Hard drive is formatted and blank. any ideas?

    Try clearing CMOS, if possible. You may have to check the manual for the laptop to see how to do this.

    I was able to disassembly the unit and pull the batteries and this solved that problem but now I get no video just white screen

    Might wanna make sure you reassembled the unit correctly then.

    i think i damaged the lcd flex cable. is there a way to test them

    does the laptop have a vga port? if it does try connecting an external monitor and it will let you know if the problem is with the screen or with something else

    thanks i tested with vga and video works great. So i was messing with flex cable and lcd came on also. guess i should be more careful
