Default Purepower 480 Watt Butterfly PSU

Hi im new,,, so be nice ha ha ha!!

Anyways i have just recently purchased a Purepower 480 Watt Butterfly PSU and my 12v readings are a bit low? They are around 11.25-11.19. Before i used to have a 400 Watt Colors IT PSU that was giving me readings of 11.47-11.37, surely my old PSU isnt better than my old cheap PSU.
Im asking because i spent around 60 on this and it looks like its not performing better than my old, weaker one. Or am i looking at it wrong?

    See my results...

    My setup:
    K7V88 Motherboard
    AMD Athlon 3200+ Barton
    2 x 256 PC2700 RAM + 1 x 512 PC2700 RAM.
    ATI RADEON 9800 Pro.
1 internal Hard drive and one external (Both 80GB)
    6 Case fans.
    CD/RW Drive.
    DVD Drive

    Looking forward to a reply.

Those readings seem to be off by 1 volt. Ive had MBM5 do that sometimes, especially with CPU voltage. I made the exact same swap, and i can tell you im running a much more power-hungry system and my 12v rail doesnt go below 11.85 at any time. If your motherboard came with a monitoring program, use that instead (updating it is a good idea). Unless the power supply is faulty, of course, in which case RMA because it isnt worth risking your components.

Almost anywhere you look for readings you will get lower than +12V I believe that If it doesnt need it it doesnt use the full +12V, though I have never had a wonderful PSU in one of my own rigs so this post may be disregaurded if faulty.
    My Current Rigs:
    Antec P180, OCZ Powerstream 520W, DFI nF4 SLI-DR Expert, AMD X2 4400 w/XP120([email protected]), 2x1GB OCZ Platnium PC3200, BFG [email protected]/800(1.6), WD 250GB SATA, Maxtor 120GB IDE, LG DVD/CD Combo(black), Sony DRU-810 DL DVD Burner(black)
    3DMark01:25379, 3DMark03:19746
    3DMark05:9294, 3DMark06:5340

    Raidmax Cobra, Fortron PN-400W, ASUS A8N-E(nF4 Ultra), X2 3800 w/AMD heatpipe cooler, 2x 512MB Crucial Balistix, ATI X300, WD 250GB IDE, Samsung 16x DVD/RW

    Thanks for the replies!!!

When i got home i checked my BIOS results -

    V CORE = 1.790 - 1.086
    +3.30V = 3.370 - 3.387
    +5.00V = 5.148 (CONSTANT)
    +12.00V = 12.000 - 11.935

I presume that everything is more or less in order with those results??

And my motherboard is a ASROCK K7V88 with AMD Athlon 3200+ Barton!
