Default PC takes several attempts to boot up HELP

Don't know what to do, never posted on a forum like this before. Need help. PC struggles to boot up, maybe 5 or 6 attempts where it just stops dead during process and then it might boot up all the way through and work fine for hours and hours as it did yesterday. If I turn it off it goes through the same process of failing to boot up but stops at different points. It was pretty clogged up with dust so blew that out and it didn't make as much noise but is still had the boot up problems this morning. It only really started doing this yesterday but maybe once or twice at most during past few months it has just randomly turned itself off while doing some video rendering. My CD drive hasn't worked for months now is that linked? Is the dust causing it? Why would it struggle during boot up and then work fine? Can someone please help?

Please Post some specs of your system like in my Sig. It could be ram? Run memtest for several passes, and also if you had access to another Power Supply Unit That would also be a place to start. My system had similar issues, Turned out it was a faulty PSU. But Run Memtest first to see if there is any issues with your ram.
