Default 6+2 PCI-e cables with 2 connectors on a single cable on a single 7990?

so i just built my computer. the power supply i have is the corsair RM750w. it came with 2 cables that have 6pin(goes into psu) to dual 6+2pin(into gpu). now this is the first time ive seen this. and i was just making sure that im not gonna damage anything by using these cables. am i able to use one cable to power the 7990. or do i have to use 2. the 7990 requires 2 8pin connectors.

this is what the cable im talking about kinda looks like

Your PSU has normal modern PCI-E card power cables that can be used for both six and eight pin power inputs on video cards.

You must use both eight pin connection cables on your video card unless the card's manual states you can only use one cable, but I doubt that.
