    Default I have a question about antivirus's

I would like some opinions on what is the best anitvirus. I have nav now, but I have to kick it to the curb. It's a resourse hog. I've done a google search and came up with two, Kaspersky, and the shield deluxe. If anyone has anything to say about this get back to me. Thanks

Again, AVG. I still use Symantec Corp, but that'd cost a lot if I didn't have free access to it, and I'd use AVG otherwise. Regular Norton is a huge resource hog and my in my experience it cause more problems that solves.

Thumbs up Re: I have a question about antivirus's

Well, I did some research on this problem. The shield deluxe came up a few times, so I bought it. This was a mistake. Mainly because it leaves port 110 open (pop3). If you close it it will not scan your email. So, now I'm trying Bitdefender standard 8.
So far so good. Atleast this program does not leave any ports open.
I ran a complete system scan yesterday and it found two trogans and some adware.(We have three kids, go figure hahaha)
Inclonclusion if anyone is looking for an affordable antivirus program ($30.00)I recomend Bitdefender, I have a firewall so I didn't look at the pro version.

Nope, especially if you turn off the feature that reminds you to update. I'd say it (at least my version; there are both newer and older versions of Symantec Corp) is less of a resource hog than AVG, even. It also seems to be pretty good at catching viruses. No problems so far.
