Personally for me, outlook is boring. It doesn't have all the eye candy and extras.

I like using anything different. Especially different than microsoft.

I love incredimail, its a blast to use, it has special effects. You can make it to where it sounds like you are typing on a keyboard while you are typing an email. My wife got a kick out of that one. Just all kinds of fun and different stuff.

that's my reason... I don't trust M$ and I'm a huge fan of opensource software

if there is good alternative opensource software around you can bet I'll at least give it a shot

and i like highly functional software...frills and eyecandy are just a waste of system resources...outlook just has too much extra junk and mail apps like incredimail have too many frills and pointless eyecandy (if you can call it that)

Thats whats cool about computing. There is always something for someone out there.
My brother is the same way. He is an IT guy for Wells Fargo. Although he is a huge advocate of opensource and Linux.
He doesn't do the frills and eye candy either.
Whereas I like to have a little fun and get creative, so that is why I like incredimail, and applying skins and stuff to my GUI.

To each his own. Some OC, some don't. Some like intel, some don't.
YET WE ALL HAVE A COMMON BOND, A LOVE FOR COMPUTERS!

OK heres the scoop on incredimail.... It does not seem to have spyware on it. However once you install it is burnt into your registry for good. I upgraded the incredimail package and wanted to go back to a prev version because it seemed more stable. After I uninstalled it and deleted the folder it leaves under the C: drive I then ran registry medic to clean out all the bad registries. I rebooted the sys and tried installing the older package and blam it said the version I was installing was an older version. I am not to keen on software that stores a memeory on my computer! If anyone ever figures it out for me, please let me know! Take care all!

Incredimail is a really good client.. Pretty memory demanding but I think it's worth it.. :)

That's interesting. I thought i had heard Incredimail had some spyware components. Maybe it just looks to good to be true and so is therefore suspicious.

I trust the experience of u guys so i will now give it a try.

BTW the best app for filtering out spam for use with ANY pop3 client is popfile. http://popfile.sourceforge.net/

it's open source (got to keep minibubba happy) Works great for me. over 98% accuracy on over 5,000 mails in last 3 months.

    Cheers
