I think you will find it not only effective, but also easy on precious system resources when compared to other anti-virus solutions.

Of course, if you are not satisfied, you can always try another:)

A definate Candidate for AVG, and run that alongside a Zone Alarm Firewall, which also has an inbuilt AV, and you can't go too far wrong :smokin:
Great thing about flying a desktop, is that CASA ( Civil Aviation Safety Authority ) can't touch ya no matter how many times you crash and burn !!!!!! HIC HIC

At a LAN once there was a case of a Nimo Codec pack that had been infected and distributed containing many virii, I had this and installed it unknowingly, Norton, McAfee and Panda wouldn't pick it up, yet AVG and PC Cillin 2003 did. I know which one I trust

I switched to AWG a few days ago & am tickled with it. Seems very powerful, easy to use, & easy on resources. It is so non-evasive, I used the auto setting to run a full scan everynight at 10. With my 32 GIGs of files I have, I usually don't even know it's doing it. No slowdown or nothing. It found 5 infected files a couple nights ago after a porn marathon. (my wife did it, not me!!). It took care of them quickly & effishintly (effichently??). I'm sold.
