Actually I get a message from Yahoo every other time I log into Trillian about their update.

Microsoft and Trillian are in talks at present to resolve this situation. As I understand it, Microsoft is upset because Trillian is profiting from a product (Trillian Pro) that uses their infrastructure (MSN Messenger Service) for nothing, and it's this that Microsoft finds unacceptable.

microsoft should talk after all the hassles there putting other OS's through because there monopolizing the market...so what if someone else can profit off them...I say hooray for them. microsoft makes enough money to keep bill gates rich.

I only use their free product but once a network becomes unaccessable it's usually fixed with an update or patch within 24hrs.

thank god for gaim and trillian. so what is the big deal with these IM services? what do they really expect to gain from this? If it wasn't for gaim and trillian I'd run about half of the services I do now (which doesn't include yahoo however). The more these companies flaunt the sticks in their asses... just makes Jabber look better and better.
I've gone too far and need to move on!

it is better but more and more people need to take it up as their primary protocol.
i hope people come up and try to make Jabber popular cos this the only will these companies stop being hardcore dictators
