    How can i get shockwave to work i got flash but when i download shockwave it would say it would find and install to it. my browser is mozilla firebird. Please help! :eek:

    works for me everytime
    *are you on windows or linux?
    I've gone too far and need to move on!

    how is FB installed on your system? did you just copy over the extracted folder or did you get the installer?

    btw, the shockwave installation also installs flash, so next time just get shockwave. Installing Flash first, before shockwave may have screwed something up, but I don't see how. Fortunatly FB is easily restored to it's original state if that is the problem.

    you are trying to install shockwave from an admin acct, right?
    I've gone too far and need to move on!

    that page explains about plugins and Mozilla Firebird
    type about:plugins in the address bar of Firebird and check to see if something like
    Shockwave Flash

    File name: NPSWF32.dll
    Shockwave Flash 6.0 r79
    is there.
    if it is not then Firebird has not registered the dll properly.
