Think about it, How many patches does Microsoft release each year JUST for Internet Explorer?
    Anwser: Plenty, More than enough.

How many Does Mozilla Release for Firebird/FireFox?
Anwser: None (except in version upgrades)

It's funny, my dad Loves Internet explorer, but every one else in his company uses FireFox.

I've been following the comments some of you have been making since Phoenix. A lot more have been making some very positive comments since FireBird.
By gosh, the third time around I don't intend to be left out :)

I've had FireFox set to default browser since about 15 minutes into the testing. To date I have had exactly 1 problem - and that is with the frame pages on my own site??
Got me stumped on that one stilll:shrug:

Could it be this pipelining I've read about?
Or perhaps Mr. C isn't the HTML whiz he thought he was?
(OK, he never was a whiz!)
Would be nice to have that display though:confused:

Other than this, I'm quite pleased with FireFox (not that I'm blaming this on FireFox at this time, mind you).

    No Active X controls!
This can only be a good thing.
And I can chat on TechTV again!
There are some past posts relating my woes with IE and JRE - never resolved.
The tabs certainly do seem to add some useful utilitarian function to the browsing experience.
Haven't quite mastered it fullly but I'm catching on. There have been a Window or 5 I've closed when I meant to close only the tab

To date, I'm quite glad to have added FireFox to the toolbox.
IE was a good browser for me for a lot of versions over the last several years but I can clearly see it does seem FireFox has given me all the reasons I need to move on without hardly a glance back.

I've been extolling the virtues to some friends and those who take the plunge are also quite satisfied.

Great browser for perverts too - never a pop-up:shh:

a big thing about firefox (and all gecko based browsers) is that they display the code the way it is written. IE is known to 'interpret' code (I'm being polite here...). Most of the time, when gecko browsers don't display pages correctly it is usually because of poor code (sorry Mr. C :o )

firefox does normally support frames ;)

glad to see you've finally come over to firefox Mr C, grab a pint and come join us

I suppose I should also point out that when viewed locally, my pages appear fine - only online does the page not render properly?

That's why I'm kind of stumped:?:

never had any problems with images with pheonix, firebird, or firefox...
make sure you didn't block images from the sites you are trying to download from ;)
