I'd like to find something that can burn a straight divx file and if not something that has a good built-in encoder that can handle it.

Nero does not support the format (Dvix) although the latest version of Nero Vision Express 2 will accept the format it cannot encode it, hangs on eight bars through the encoding process. I've tried other encoders without success also but keep in mind I'm a newbie at this. The files that I'm tring to backup for use on a DVD (files too big for VCD) are good since they play fine on Windows media player. I'm just tring to figure out how to back this type of file up and what software I should be using.
