    Default playing video file problem

    ok here's the deal, I downloaded a video of a game, sorta like a sample clip. it's not a big file, only 83 mb. it plays choppy with windows media player classic (from the ace mega codecs package), so i installed windows media 11 and it plays fine. y?
    -Case - Aspire X-Dreamer (Silver)
    -Processor - P4 2.8C OC 3.26GHz
    -Motherboard - Chaintech S865PE Socket 478 Intel® Pentium 4 800MHz FSB Intel 865PE + ICH5
    -RAMs - pqi TURBO (2 x 1GB) DDR400 Dual Channel 2.5-3-2-5
    -Graphic Card - HIS ATI 512MB X1650 Pro
    -Hard Drive - Western Digital 7200rpm 8mb cache (250gb)
    -CD Drive - NEC DVD-RW ND-2510A

    It likely uses a newer CODEC or file compression technology that is compatible with the WMP package. While MPC is a good utility for a lot of uses, it isn't perfect and doesn't always include the latest updates that the Microsoft utility has in place.
