    Help, HELP ME PLEASE!!!

    Alright, I just restarted my computer..

    And my CD Burning Drive and my DVD burning drive is not there in My Computer.

    I tried going into the D:/ Directory (My DVD Drive), and it says it ain't there!!

    The same with my E:/ (CDRW Drive) Directory!!

    PLEASE HELP ME!!

    Have you been inside the PC or moved it around where the IDE cable(s) have become unseated? :?:

    if they are both on the same ide cable, the cable is probably loose

    OK, maybe a bit harsh, but there's nothing like a clean install feeling

    Well, to tell you the full story:

    After that, my reg got messed up, then my IRQ, so I had to reformatte. -_-

    It was probably a virus or something...

    I haven't messed with my computer in 2 months. I only installed new RAM. that was it..

    Ok Fair enough
    Reinstall was ur best bet.

    must admit i use Drive Image and it is great.
    I just install everything OS, Office and other programs, tweaks etc
    Then just save a disk image.

    if it all goes south i just back-up data like doc's and email and restore the disk image.
    No reinstall just replace the whole shooting match with a known good version.
    Too easy.

    Drive Image is freely available and value for money
    (i got mine sort of free - ssshhh don't tell) hehehe
