    Here's what happened-
I uninstalled NAV and couldn't access my cable internet. I checked all my settings in IE all looked well but still couldn't access. I reinstalled NAV got another full years subscription(which is why I uninstalled!) and now all is well.
My Question is what did NAV uninstall change and how to fix if I need to uninstall again for some reason.
Any ideas or has anyone else had this problem?

Pardon the expresion, but nav can be a real ***** sometimes, however I really don't know what It could have done to mess up your cable:steam:

Never used NAV, but I have seen this problem happening with a few firewalls.
Usually firewalls set themselves as "Block all traffic when service is not running". This crates a havock when you uninstall the firewall cos now u r not able to get on the internet.
May be a similar thing happened with you there, there could be a similar option which made NAV to mess your cable connection.

I've just installed a new motherboard(epox ep-8rda+) and did a fresh install of XP.I installed AVG instead of NAV and everything's just great-much faster than my dragon+: : party ha
could'nt be happier-just curious as to what happened in case I come across it again.

    Again thanks all!

Tweaker...he wants to know what should he do if in future he needs to install NAV and then un-install it.
You ever un-installed NAV and got the same problem?
I have always been fond of free stuff like AVG and Sygate Personal firewall. Works great...:thumb:
