  • Dial-Up Server

Windows 95, 98, ME, NT and 2000 have a dial-up server built in so that you can connect two computers remotely using modems, but without using an Internet conncetion; a direct computer to computer connection with one of the units acting as the dial-up server.

How do I set up an XP system to act as a dial-up server?

    Thanks for your help
    :)

Right Click on Network Icon on desktop then goto properties and choose Make New Connection. From there choose the option Accept incoming calls and go step by step to set it up and there ya go
