Can anyone explain to me what DLS is and what I can do with it. From what I understand, soundcards have wavetables that's used in order to hear midi music. DLS are basically downloadable wavetables that you can use to replace the one on the soundcard. Are wavetables software that's stored in the soundcard ROM or is it hardwired?
My soundcard supports DLS1 and I need a free software that can convert SF2 or arl sound fonts to DLS.
