OK Guys I have a sad Belkin 3.3MB Network which is OK for Quake, sharing ADSL and printing however a complete nightmare for transferring large files. I didn't expect it to be quick however it takes what seems like years :(
Strangely when I open up the Windows Task Manager and look at the networking tab when transferring files it barely uses 2.5% of the available bandwidth, though if I start downloading a file from the net across the same link then it jumps to about 25% max! If I monitor this for a while it never goes beyond 25%...
I am no expert when it comes to networking, however do you know if there is there any way that I can improve the bandwidth when transferring files?
Cheers RichieR
