monitor problems

my monitor has recently started to act up. i've tried different refresh rates and resolutions, but i still have the same problem. the lower have of the screen is jumping up and down. i'm not sure how to describe it. i can still make out text and such things, but it is giving me a headache.

the monitor is a sony crt 21" it was bought as a recondintioned unit about 2 years ago.

any thoughts or suggestions?

Sounds like your monitor finally bit it.
One of the guns finally went out. You might be able to take it to a repair center and have it fixed. Although it might be more economical just to save up some cash and pick up a LCD.
Or another CRT if you really like them.

that's what i was worried about. i would like to go lcd, but i wouldn't be able to afford the size i would like. maybe i'll look into repair cost.
