I went to Office Max and bought this Belkin pad with a bult in gel cusion for umm some money. It works great, and just ask the people who play The Specialists mod ;)

if you have a good mouse it doesn't matter too much what kind of a mouse pad you have ...I've been using a black one that sounds just like the one XBoy mentioned for years, and it certainly never slowed down my fragging

if you have an optical mouse then you need a light colored pad, it will help with battery life. I use a graph paper pad that worked great. plus if i need to write something down its right there.
