MSN Messenger

Is there any way to remove this from my Windows XP Pro system? Almost every time I start my computer I get a message saying that I am running an outdated version of MSN Messenger, which I don't use. I can't find it in the add/remove programs list, and all I have on "Startup" tab under msconfig is my antivirus software; and yet the program still gives me a message at startup! Thanks.

first of all, you can try disabling the builtin startup function in the options menu. Failing that, go to C:\Program Files\Messenger and rename "ms_msgs.exe" to something else, I have mine called "ms_msgs.exe_" so it can't execute :)
