    If companies started to make 64bit monitors, would there be a benefit ?

    Not unless ya get video cards that do 64bit colour.

      Ummm... welll a monitor that displays 32-bits is every colour that we as humans can distinguish between plus tons more.

      Having a "64-bit" display mode would be useless. Seeing as 32-bit is already millions of colours, 64-bit would be tens, posibly hundreds of millions of indistinguishable colours.

      So pretty much it would be a useless technology.


      Any almost all monitors today have an unlimited colour range, it's the video adapters

          uhh actually, its only 8-bit color.. :) 32-bit is just gettofied.
