Why don't you get something a little newer?

Very nearly you could get an epox 8kha, Athlon XP 1600, stock hsf, and 256 megs ddr...

    http://direct.mwave.com/mwave/ViewBa...NDLE-EPox.hmx?

    270$ for those parts...

                I checked newegg.com and came up with a P4 S478 1.6A for $138 + 6.95 shipping, and the Asus P4B for $110 +10 shipping.
                You're total cost is $264.95.

It's gonna be pretty hard to find SDRAM P4 boards with 6 PCI slots. I'd looked at one P4 by Epox, but it was DDR only.

Sorry about the delay - too much to do these days

OK, the AOpen AX4BS Pro is a nice board, but only has 5 PCI slots. The only SDRAM board I've seen for the Pentium 4 with 6 PCI slots is the Intel D845WN... which means no overclocking features.

Anyway the link is here: http://english.aopen.com.tw/products/mb/ax4bspro.htm

Good luck in the hunt! :)

                    argh...

                    ok, lemme try again

                    ONE mobo with -
                    INTEL (dual?)
                    6 PCI at least, AGP4x
                    1 ISA if possible
3 ram slots at least, DDR i guess
                    on-board RAID
                    excellent overclockablility
1 can flourescent yellow spray paint ;)

                    ONE cpu -
P4 not less than 1.6Ghz and good overclockability to go with the above board (must include heatsink and fan of course)

                    ONE stick of DDR -
                    512mb cuz it's so expensive...

firstly, why do you NEED 6 PCI slots? secondly, if you do get 6 PCI slots, then don't expect to get an ISA on top of that. Good luck trying to find ISA anymore...

ct_ has a problem with letting go of his old hardware and goin' with more modern technologies if that helps ya Beefy. ;)
It maybe a cost thing but who knows.

yep - i don't wanna toss out a perfectly good isa modem if at all possible, and i don't wanna spen more $ for a PCI one...

so like i said, if possible - if not, oh well

                          ideas ppl?

                          :)

Well part of Intel's conformist policy that it pushes onto manufacturers was to drop the ISA bus so it would be almost impossible to find a board with one. External modems are much better these days than internal PCI ones anyway :smokin:
