Kingmax PCI 10/100 nic not recognising drivers?

I have a Kingmax PCI 10/100 nic (KC-301a) and for some reason a while back the network card wouldn't be detected in the hardware device list

and i went to http://www.kingmax.com.au/Support/support1-04.html and redownloaded the driver for it

and removed the nic and reinstalled it and started up Win98SE it said new hardware 'PCI Ethernet controller detected" but when i point it to the win 98 driver file for the network card, it brings up a screen with a blank list of devices to choose from???

anyone got an earlier version of the KC-301a kingmax pci 10/100 driver ?

So I take it that the driver doesn't have an .exe then but have you tried installing it thru the Device Manager? :?:

tried that way too and it says no driver detected if i do it that way
