i need a new "retention mechansim" for my HS/F

the retention mechanism is this thing that is screwed onto the motherboard and it is used so that the Heatsink/Fan can clip ono the motherboard. anyway mine cracked and my heatsink/fan is falling off and i need a new one. my CPU is really starting to overheat. its at 70c when idle and goes up past 80c just listening to music. i ordered a new HS/F but i dont think it coems with one of these clips

and its for a socket 478 processor with a shuttle as45gt mobo
so does anyone know where i can pick one of these up?

If this part was originally part of ya mobo then contact your local Shuttle distributor and they'll likely get the part in for ya. Or alternatively you could get another HSF like the AVC Sunflower, Scythe Kamakaze or Thermalright SLK-800U and SLK-900U which all come with their own brackets or the Swiftech MCX478 which fastens directly to the mobo but there are likely to be more options out there avaliable to ya.
