I know it has been asked 100's of times i know these cards are "close" but no one ever asks about over clocking, how do these cards do with stock cooling with milid over clocking maby + 25/50. Also if some one could help me pick out what card would be right for me would be nice. I am going to play everquest 2 when its out, bf1942, wc3, d2, doom 3. thanks for the imput!

It took a very LONG time but the last driver release for the Radeon cards seem to be very compatable with just about everything, unlike in the past.... By George I think they got it!:hammer:

Well, most of the games that you listed would run perfect with many cheaper cards, so you are going to want the great graphical quality that a higher end card like that offers, and when it comes to AA/AF, the Radeon would smoke the Nvidia. Personally, the main games I play are CS, Desert Combat/BF1942/UT2K3, and will be awaiting D3 and HL2, I really need quality, because I ran these games well enough with my 9100 PCI, but with my 9800 Pro, I get better performance, and the great visuals of all out AA/AF in all of these games.

Yes nvidia drivers are solid...but all drivers have there issues. The new radeon drivers..stated by sponge is some what stable now. So i would go with the 9800xt, not xr...don't know where you got that from.
