I'm getting ready to install it myself. A little nervous because I will be doing it on my primary hard drive, but I have a backup on a separate partition of important stuff in the case that it fails on me.

use NTFS and you should partition so that there is a fat32 main and a ntfs boot, faster that way

Why a FAT32 main partition? I will not be networking with any other machines, so a FAT32 partition would be senseless. There are no Win9x based machines that will be looking at my files.

                    I wouldn't bother with it

depends what you run, fat32 is a bit better for gaming while ntfs is more stable

thats why you put ntfs on the boot, so your boot hd doesn't f*** up

darth it don't matter if u have ntfs and 98ers wanna look see at ya HD coz its the OS that transfers the info to the client PC and so it can be any file system as long as it can send it...maybe not ANY file system but yeah...

also, i fail to see how ntfs could be worse than fat esp in regard to games, because fat files are generally larger because of the allocation size for files...the only possibility is security enhancements of ntfs, but as it is a networking file system, i can't see how that makes it any slower
                              ... :?:
