Preload custom cursors

I've got a couple of custom cursors on my site. The cursor for the normal body of the site works fine, but when I place my mouse over a link and the cursor changes there is a pause while the new cursor is downloaded. Is there anyway I can preload or cache the cursors so the transition is smooth?

Are you using flash?
