  • A way too make my cooler more quiet?

    I have a Dragon Orb 3 7000rpm but the noise is horrible! Is there way to change this?

      I've been verry happpy with my glad w/ a queit 80mm w/ 64cfm's. I'm sure you could do the same. The cpufx,inc adapter is the link. The fan runs at 4500rpm=quiet. :)

            Some people have been adding things to there cases to quiet them:

            1) lining their cases with thin foam packing insulation.

            2) using little rubber washers on metal contacting parts, ie fan grills.

            3) dust filters on the fans.

            It may help to contain the noise.:)

              You could always take a look at the Thermaltake Volcano 7 as it's quiet and performs at least as well as the Dragon. ;)

                          yhea i got a zalman thing with a copper **** and all that its good it is a little noizy

                          i cant wait till i get to water cool my computer eh that will rock:):o :smokin:

                            I spent several months R&D'g mine out.....and am quite happy with the setup I came up with......and 'am enjoying it.

                            Oh ya.......want a mess get H2O.......it's great, but high maintance...

                              Latest MaximumPC had a snippet on a product called Dynamat. Here's a link. Dunno if they're any good, but it is supposed to be able to drop up to 9 decibals from your current sound output. Here's a pic:
