Unless you're clicking something wrong, I have no idea what would cause this (other than spyware). but you can try opening regedit and going to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main. Modify the Start Page entry to whatever you want your homepage to be.

Or just get a different browser, like Mozilla (in signature).

Why don't you start with which browser you're using.

I guess you could try adaware, but spybot usually does the trick. Maybe minibubba has an idea....

Slartibartfast, have you tried changing your homepage to something else to see if it still occurs?

Something else you can try:
Go to C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files (varies depending on OS, %SystemRoot%\Downloaded Program Files) and uninstall anythin that doesn't look aboslutely neccesary. you might have Flash or something in there, but otherwise it can go. To be sure, you can right-click, properties the item and check where it came from. If in doubt uninstall it all, you should be able to get it back, not that you need anything in there. Things in there can occasionally cause problems like this and often aren't noticed by spyware removal programs.
