ahhh!! what happened?? 9500Pro -> 9700Pro

last year when the new radeons came out, I bought myself a 9500pro 128mb. I flashed the bios and everything in order to overclock it to 9700 speeds. My 3dmark01 scores were at least 13k. sold the card and stayed with 8500LE. (fyi: I get 10k+ with the 8500LE)

a year passed..

today, i recieved my 9700pro AIW and overclocked it with R3D to 350/330 (core/mem respectively). I ran 3dmark01 again and I cant even break 13k. I was at least expecting 15K(what a let down).

(fyi: I uninstalled all ati drivers [restart] then reinstalled newest ati drivers [restart])

I have the same exact components in my system as when I had the 9500pro a year ago.

I even set all the OpenGL/D3D settings to High Performance and I actually get lower scores (11k+).. wtf??

any ideas?

used to be that AIW cards had slower memory to save $[mine,aiw pro 8meg, love the tv and capture], , ,but i thought the 9700 had the same... so this is a surprise to me..,maybe the interface between the tv out/capture omponents?

i figured it out.. installed omega drivers and i broke 15k
