  • Linux compatible with IBM type programs?

If I install Linux on my 8 year old daughter's computer (Abit KT7A with 1200 Athlon), can she (I) install the windows software for her? Stuff like "atlantis" game and some learning "games" software that she already has? All this stuff I woud like to install is Windows compatible, but don't know how it would go with Linux?

Thanks! I think you have the gist of my question. *S*

    Cheers!

Generally if you need to install/run a windows applicatation you will need a linux port or some sort of dos emulation, there are several commercial emulators that work quite well and then there are things like WINE (Wine Is Not an Emulator).
