  • print sharing!!!!!!

hey guys! ATM I'm running 2 pc's, main pc hooked up to cable modem and 2nd pc sharing net through crossover cable. What I want to do is next week or so pick up a router (with print sharing) but is there any way I can set it up so I can access 2 printers on both pc's?

my set up is : main pc with bubblejet printer & 2nd pc with laserjet

what I would like is to be able to access both printer on each pc and I haven't seen any routers with 2 print servers!

any advice would be priceless! thanks!

Assuming your using XP, you can install a printer that's on another computer on the network. What kind of router you get shouldn't matter. You don't really need a router, in fact. If you're getting it for another reason, that's fine, but you can share printers with pretty much any connection.

Just go to Start > Settings > Printer and Faxes. Click add printer, and choose "A network printer, or printer attached to another computer" when asked.

In the future, at least your OS would be nice to know.
