  • Non digital Camcorder... Can I use it for video files on DVD

Can I use my non-digital Camcorder to make home DVD video movies with the aid of a PC and DVD burner and programs such as Screen Blast Movie studio 3, Ulead Movie factory 3, or DVD X-maker? Or will I need to buy a digital camcorder to do this?

All my camcorder has for outjacks are 1 RCA video out and 1 RCA audio out, and uses hi-8 cassettes for media.

All you need is a video capture card and a DVD authoring program. Yes you can make DVD's with a analog camcorder. I personally prefer analog camcordes to digital anyways. You get more recording time (2-4hrs depending on tape) than digital which 1 hr was the longest I've seen with one. Most are 30 min.
