I want to install a brighter HDD led because from where I sit I can't see the HDD activity led very well at all. I was wondering if anyone here knew or had a link on how to mod the HDD led. I'm also wondering what the best place to purchase single led would be, and/or any specifications that you could provide.

Thanks,
Zack

P.S. My case is a Chieftec Matrix MX

I don't know where you live, but in the US, Radio Shack is where I've bought very bright leds for mods before. They seem to be getting away from components recently and never seem to have a big selection.

OK, sounds good. I live in New York so there are plenty of Radio Shacks around. I just hafta find some time to go there :geek:. Thanks dude.

There are also software HDD LED lights if you are interested. I've use one from O&O software (the people that make O&O Defragger). It wsa okay but not as responsive as the real hard disk LED itself.
