Saving photos

Help! Since I've had my computer repaired (viruses) everytime I try to save a photo to my computer it only allows me to save it as a bitmap. Before I could save it as a jpeg. Now the drop down list won't give me a choice of jpeg or bitmap, only bitmap. How do I change the setting to allow me to save photos as a jpeg?

This usually happens when you have amounted to many cookies and temp files so go into the Internet Options, General tab and clear your cookies and files under Temporary Internet Files.

BTW this thread should've been in either the Windows or Software forums as this has nothing to do with Hardware.
