comparasion of ram questoin

i have some ram and i can either do 1 of 2 setup and i dont know which is better
512 megs running @ 333mhz
or 1024 megs running @ 266mhz

my other comp specs would be
2700 amd athlon xp
geforce 4 TI 4400 128mb
i have like 3 hard drives totalling over 400 gigs
an epox ep-8rda3
and sound blaster live 5.1

With the nForce2 chipsets its best to run the memory at the same speed as the CPU's FSB so with an XP2700+ that means PC2700/DDR333/166MHz minimum but as to the amount of memory will largely depend on what you do with the system (512MB is fine but for editing large files or some of the newer games 1024MB/1GB would be better).
