  • PC keeps crashing

Hello. I got a new 512MB memory module and after putting it in the third slot (the other two have 512MB in each) my pc worked for about ten minutes then it kept freezing. I was convinced that the new memory was to blame so I changed the modules around, put them in different slots but still my pc kept freezing up. When the freezing happens my mouse cursor is stuck and nothing moves. Sometimes it will happen when windows is loading.

This started about two days ago. Since this I have thought that the memory somehow coruppted my OS and I have tried memory that works 100% in my other computer (which im on now) as well as putting is a different hard drive. At this stage here is a list of things I have now tried and im completely out of ideas...

    Got a new Abit NF7
    Swapped memory moudles/changed modules.
    Cleared CMOS countless times.
Swapped hard drives, video card, removed sound card.
Flashed BIOS (done this on first NF7)

    My specs are:
    Abit NF7
    Athlon 3200xp
    Radeon 9800pro
    1.5GB Corsair PC3200
    460W Enermax PSU
    Audigy 2 ZS
    Windows XP

Does anyone have any ideas why my pc keeps freezing up even after everything ive tried to stop it?

Are all 3 modules the same brand and model?
