  • Help overclockin a p4 3.4 (extreme newbie) read many guides!

    ok heres my system specs

    p4 3.4 ghz 800 fsb
    asus p4c800 deluxe
2 gigs corsair xms 3200 ddr
    bfg 6800 GT
    420 watt raidmax case

ok when i go into the bios setup it has an automatic overclock feature it goes from 5% 10% 20% 30%.. if i set it at 10 or higher computer wont boot.

so i figured i have to do it manually so i select the manual option and here are the settings that i have no idea what any of them mean

cpu external frequency 100-400 but i cant make a selection here
    dram frequency (266, 320, 400, auto)
    agp/pci frequency (66.66/33.33, 72.73/36.36, 80.00/40.00, auto)
vcore voltage (1.60 up to 1.95 in increments of 5, auto)
    ddr reference voltage (2.55, 2.65, 2.75, 2.85, auto)
    agp vddq voltage (1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8)
    performance mode (auto, standard, turbo)

i dont understand any of those i dont really understand much so if someone could help me set these or explain to me how to do it i'd really appreciate it.

or better yet if there is a program that will do this for me

    thanx in advance guys!

Have you tried using the "+" and "-" keys to change that value?
