I just installed my bfg 6800 oc into my setup:

Modright 500watt psu
1gig corsair XMS
Athlon 64 3500+
Abit Av8 K8T800 Pro

The best result I got was 5542points, that seems awful low to me. Anyone have any suggestions?

You say you just installed it... what was in the system beforehand? If it was an nVidia product you may not have removed the old drivers before installing the new board. This can cause conflicts. You'll also want to make sure both AA and A/F are turned off under the display properties as this is the default method of testing boards.

Hallo!

I have similar problem with this card (BFG 6800OC 128mb) so please send information how did you deal with it.

Thank You for every hint

My system is : [email protected] 1Gig Kingston dual on abit nf7v2
I tried clean reinstall with newest drivers both for mobo and video.
My highest in 3dmarks scores are 13800 in 01, 5600 in 03 and 2200 in 05
arent this scores to low?
May it be that my cpu is bottleneck so much??
I tried even rivatuner. I did happily unloccked 4 pipelines and vertex unit but it only gives me extra 500 in 3dmark03.

I would not bother You but this poor performance is in games also.

Yours Sincerelly ,

I just compared my first score (cpu at 2000Mhz) in 3dmark 05 and with higher cpu score I have nearyly double less points for gfx.

Please look at this http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=859534

So I figure it out it must be bad video card.
I only add that I tried diferent drivers not only this from omega corner.

bluestreak, based on your system specs I'd expect at least 8500+. I'm getting 8100 (approx.) with a stock 6800, XP2800+ (stock speed) and 512mb RAM. BTW, the drivers are 66.93.

The first suggestions I would have would be to close all applications in the taskbar (Virus Scanner, firewall, system monitoring software, IM clients, etc). Check in the Task Mangler, err... Manager, and see how many tasks you have running. Your target should be about 25. Change your background to the default windows blue or green. The purpose of this is to do what defense contractors call "Performance Optimised Testing", ie: the most ideal conditions.

Another suggestion would be to run a virus scanner on full system scan, and some Anti-Spyware programs such as Ad-Aware, SpyBot, SpySweeper, etc to see if some unwanted rubbish has got in.

Check to make sure that the AA/AF settings are turned off in the display properties as someone may have already suggested, and run the default 1024x768 test. Let us know the results.

Hi!
Today after trying every drivers I could find I returned my bfg 6800OC and I bought Leadtek Winfast 6800 128mb (A400 TDH). WIthout changing enything in system I put it in and installed the same drivers(latest ones) from nvidia and BINGO . Everything runs great.
I have about 8750 3dmarks in 3dmark 03 and that is ok with my cpu([email protected]).
So it was faulty card. Games runs also great.
So bluestreak84 If your system runs great , cpu score in benchmarks are high and 3dmarks and games fps are low you probably have the same faulty card .
I have no Idea whats wrong with BFG but I saw in 3dmark 05 summary or system details that it showed that I have 0 vertex blendig units or something similar and now I have them.
Thank You for help!
